Position Overview

FJM Innovative Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Enterprise Data Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and Palantir (or comparable ETL platforms) to support mission-critical government programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and ETL development, with experience extracting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into enterprise data environments.

This role requires an individual who is passionate about building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and enabling advanced analytics through high-quality, reliable datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop robust and efficient Python and SQL scripts to automate data processing and ETL workflows.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Integrate data from databases, APIs, flat files, and other enterprise data sources.
Perform data transformation, enrichment, curation, and modeling to support operational and analytical requirements.
Optimize data structures and pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement automated data validation, quality assurance, monitoring, and cleansing processes.
Ensure the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of enterprise datasets.
Provide technical guidance and support for Palantir or similar ETL/data integration platforms.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and mission stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Troubleshoot data integration issues and continuously improve ETL processes and workflows.
Document data architectures, workflows, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in data engineering.
Strong proficiency in scripting and programming with Python.
Expertise in working with SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
Experience with data integration from diverse sources such as APIs, relational databases, and file systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with Palantir.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or similar.
